T-Jay grew up in Cerritos, California and attended Rutgers University where he received a B.A. in Music.

Prior to joining Hammer Prep, he spent 15 years at Kaplan preparing students for SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. He has helped more than 1000 students ace these standardized tests.
