About Ren
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
–William Butler Yeats
Ren is a highly experienced math tutor with over 10 years of working one-on-one with students at every level, from middle school through advanced high school and college math. She holds a Master’s degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics and earned her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside.
She began tutoring as a high school student herself and has continued ever since, including several years working with K–12 students at A Tree of Knowledge Educational Services and teaching College Algebra as a Teaching Associate at Cal State Fullerton. Along the way, she has collaborated closely with parents and teachers, designed personalized learning plans, and helped students build both skills and confidence.
What parents appreciate most is her calm, thoughtful approach. She excels at breaking down complex material, meeting students where they are, and helping them feel capable rather than intimidated. Her focus isn’t just better grades — it’s helping students gain confidence, clarity, and a stronger relationship with learning.
