About David
“But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.”
— William Butler Yeats
David grew up in California and attended the University of California San Diego as a prestigious Regents Scholar. While at UCSD, he double majored in Biochemistry & Cell Biology and Psychology and worked as a teaching assistant. After graduating cum laude, David did everything from working as an electrician to managing a research lab at UCSD to teaching English. Though he now tutors nearly every subject (seriously…he can tutor German and Economics and Computer Science and Biology and the list goes on), math is his favorite subject. His favorite moments working with students are when they realize that math is a puzzle that can be constructed in a million different ways to make a million different pictures. When he isn’t working, David enjoys hiking, reading (historical non-fiction is his favorite), and working on his Karmann Ghia (it’s some old, fancy car he could talk about for hours).
