Emma Dickson

B.A. Theatre Arts and Mathematics, University of San Diego

About Emma

“So much universe, so little time.”
— Terry Pratchett

Emma grew up here in San Diego and attended the University of San Diego. She majored in mathematics and theatre arts (we think it’s quite an interesting combination as well!) and graduated summa cum laude. While attending USD, Emma conducted original independent research in both mathematics and performance studies— focusing on everything from wave propagation to the use of theatre in science education. She also worked as a mathematics TA at USD while interning at the San Diego Old Globe and working as a performer at the San Diego County Fair!  When Emma isn’t working as a tutor (her favorite subject to tutor is math!), you can typically find her playing Dungeons and Dragons (everyone loves her bagpipe wielding character Petra), hanging out with her dogs Pippin and Frankie (we hope you’re noticing a dog theme throughout the office by now), or chatting about everything from Doctor Who to Star Wars (she’s a huge nerd about sci-fi series).
