Tutor - Test Preparation (start summer 2011)
Starting pay is $22 - $35 per hour, depending on experience. Rate is determined by experience and areas of expertise. All tutoring takes place at our office (11839 Sorrento Valley Rd, San Diego, CA 92121) on weekdays--usually between 3p and 9p--and weekends. Tutors set their schedules, but are expected to work at least 15-hours per week. Our most experienced tutors assist students 25 to 45 hours per week and earn up to $6k per month. We provide paid training and ongoing support. Our goal is to create an environment in which tutors can just focus on tutoring so students can perform their best.

In order to be considered for a position, appllicants must:

  • have scored higher than 700 in the math and reading sections of the SAT or a 33+ on the math and reading sections of the ACT.
  • be available to tutor on weekdays in the evening and weekends. All tutors set their own schedule.
  • have at least Bachelor's degree.
  • commit no less than two-years for employment. The learning curve is steep.
  • be able to tutor all three sections of the SAT and all four sections of the ACT.
  • have stellar academic records.
  • have an ability to inspire all types of students to do their best.
  • have a firm commitment to helping students feel good about standardized tests.

Tutor - Math and/or Science
Starting pay is $22 to $30 per hour. Rate is determined by experience and areas of expertise. All tutoring takes place at our office (11839 Sorrento Valley Rd, San Diego, CA 92121) between 3p and 9p on weekdays and anytime on weekends. Tutors set their schedules, but are expected to work at least 10-hours per week. We provide paid training.

In order to be considered for a position, appllicants must:

  • be able to tutor math through Calculus BC or AP level science courses and math through Pre Calculus.
  • be willing to commit for at least one school year.
  • take qualifying tests in areas they plan to tutor.
  • have stellar academic records.
  • have an ability to inspire all types of students to do their best.
  • have a firm commitment to helping students study correctly instead of just helping them complete homework.
